Important Notice
Effective January 1, 2009, the SAMBA Health Benefit Plan will be open to all Federal employees and annuitants who are eligible to enroll in the Federal Employees Health Benefits (FEHB) Program. Currently SAMBA limits enrollment to certain active and retired employees eligible to enroll in the FEHB Program.
For many Federal agencies, this open season will be the first time your employees are eligible to enroll in SAMBA. For other agencies the number of employees eligible for SAMBA will increase. You will soon receive OPMs FEHB Open Season FFS Plan Distribution Verification Letter. This letter will include information on SAMBAs change to an open plan. Keep this in mind when verifying the number of brochures your agency will receive.
Please note SAMBAs brochure number will change from 72-006 to 71-15.
